Triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) has been proposed to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. The mechanical energy including wind blow, sound vibration, ocean fluctuation and human body motion have been harvested by using TENG. Implantable TENG (iTENG) can convert biomechanical energy in vivo (e.g. heartbeat, respiratory and pulsating of ascending aorta) into electricity to extend the service life of implanted electronic device and possibly to fabricate a self-powered, wireless healthcare monitoring system.
In this talk, Bojing Shi will first briefly introduce the developments of TENG from the angles of structure, mechanism and applications. Then focusing on his recent work about iTENG, including device fabrication, characterization, self-powered cardiac pacemaker and wireless transmission system.
报告人简介:Bojing Shi currently is a PHD candidate in Beijing Institute of Nanoenergy and Nanosystems, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received Bachelor of Engineering in University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, in July 2012. His research interests include nanogenerators, implantable energy devices, self-powered biosensors and systems.
